Mechanical Engineer Montreal 22jm1002 Mechanical Engineer Montreal 22jm1002 RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides technical engineering support to customers, sales representatives and application engineers on lubrication applications. Designs, quotes and prepares Bill of Materials for shop manufacturing or end user installations and ensures lubrication systems operates effectively. Resolves customer product complaints by defining engineering issues, analyzing problems, recommending solutions and preparing reports. Provide engineering expertise on joint sales visits with Technical Sales Reps. Liaise with support centers to technically support new product/new market offers for the Canadian lubrication solutions marketplace. Inspects and approves drawings for various lubrication systems/assemblies. Updates and keeps current engineering activities in the relevant databases/systems. Strictly follows all quality policies and procedures and all risk management procedures. Other assigned duties such as prepares presentations, training material, develops engineering software and assists staff on computer software. QUALIFICATIONS: Post secondary education in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of five years industrial work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in engineering lubrication system or hydraulic system design. Knowledge of lubrication, bearings and related products. Experience working with such software applications as: Microsoft Office, computer assisted drawing (CAD). Previous knowledge of CRM software (such as Siebel) would be an asset. Good communication skills to deal with all levels of staff, as well as with customers to provide engineering support. Ideally is eligible for Provincial Professional Engineering status (P. Eng). Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing. Knowledge of Six Sigma would be an asset. Position available in Toronto, Ontario as well. Bilingual Candidates only.
