Safety Coordinator Responsibilities: •Conduct Monthly Driver safety meetings. •Investigate and prepare action plans on all public safety complaints. •Understand and ensure compliance with legislative requirements. •Coordinate and facilitate orientation for new drivers. •Complete new hire paperwork and file preparation. •Assist in administration of Drug and Alcohol policy •Provide compliance training where required. •Ensure that all incidents are reported and investigated. •Provide technical assistance to operations staff. •Ensure training plans are met. •Actively involved in all aspects of compliance-policies, procedures, legislation, Hours of service, occupational health and safety. •Other duties as required Qualifications: •Post secondary education or equivalent work experience. •Minimum of five years direct transportation experience, preferably in a safety role. •Light Petroleum experience would be considered an asset. •Strong communication skills. •Bilingual •Must enjoy a fast paced and challenging environment. •Must be proficient with MS Office.
