| Plant Manager The Plant Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the plant operations, including production, safety, quality, engineering & maintenance, shipping, receiving, customer service, purchasing, administrative and cost management. Must have prior manufacturing experience as well as extensive financial experience in operations, P&L, and cost accounting. The Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Oversees and manages the planning and allocation of production resources to accomplish the plants goals, including preparation of short and long term production goals, delivery deadlines and asset utilization. • Ensures that all administrative, financial, industrial and production programs operate within acceptable guidelines and are run efficiently in accordance with the plants established goals. • Drive improvements in plant operations, manufacturing processes and procedures leading to productivity and efficiency gains. • Manage all business to meet quarterly and annual profit and operating goals. • Responsible for operational labor metrics and efficiency metrics. • Coordinate all plant activities through planning with department managers and supervisors to ensure total manufacturing objectives are met or exceeded to plan. • Determine through Lean Six Sigma plant continuous improvements projects. • Develop detailed operating budgets for each fiscal year and assure adherence to the operating budget. • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with key company officials, vendors, sales representatives and customers. (Internal & External). • Ensure al safety, legal, and regulatory compliance programs are in place and adhered to. • Participates in maintenance planning to determine required projects, status, and scheduling. • Manage overall employee performance issues and systems. • Maintain all quality and safety programs and policies as established by corporate. • Facilitate Lean Six Sigma process improvement opportunities throughout the plant and be the plant ambassador for quality and process excellence. REQUIREMENTS: BA or BS Degree preferably in engineering, operations management or business. Minimum of 10 years experience in a management/leadership role in a manufacturing environment. Preferably within building products, packaging, or automotive. Strong working knowledge of budgets and financial statements. Six Sigma or Lean GB certification highly desired.
